Sara is a Columbus, Ohio native, and a huge Ohio State Football fan as a result (go Bucks!). She attended George Washington University, graduating with honors after majoring in Religion. Sara moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to teach third grade as a corps member with Teach for America. While teaching, she earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Georgia State University. After two highly successful years there, Sara moved to KIPP Voice Elementary School in Jacksonville where she fell in love with KIPP’s mission statement and vision. When she moved to San Diego, Sara knew she wanted to continue her impact at KIPP Adelante. Outside of the classroom, Sara enjoys reading, running, Pure Barre, exploring San Diego, and spending time with her husband, Dave, and cat, Chairman Meow.
